Kalin Light

Kalin represents companies in all aspects of employment, civil rights, and public accommodation law, with an emphasis on collective actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C.§ 201 et seq. She routinely provides advice to clients on all aspects of federal employment law, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as various state laws. She has conducted several internal investigations and drafted employment policies, procedures and handbooks tailored towards individual organizational and operational needs.

Kalin graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 2001 and received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York, College at Oswego, Dean’s List Member. While attending Georgia State, Kalin served as President of the Moot Court Board and interned for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

  • Represents employers in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigations.
  • Successful coordination and facilitation of expert witness campaigns and other complex litigation discovery issues, involving highly confidential and sensitive business information assisting in development of strategies for maintaining the business-integrity of such information.
  • Negotiates favorable settlements, releases, employment agreements and covenants not to compete.
