Joe Sharp
Joe Sharp concentrates his practice on commercial litigation. Joe has significant experience litigating cases in a variety of areas including trademark, copyright, real estate, products liability, entertainment and employment. Joe has been involved in numerous complex matters, including securities class actions, consumer class actions and actions consolidated before the Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation. He has represented financial institutions, telecommunication companies, record companies, real estate developers and national and international manufacturers.
Joe has represented clients in numerous federal and state courts, including courts located in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Delaware. Joe has substantial hearing and trial experience. Joe’s successes include obtaining a seven figure jury verdict in a defamation case, defeating a future loss profits claim valued in excess of thirty million dollars in a dispute between a pharmaceutical company and one of its contract manufacturers, and obtaining an injunction, asset freeze and two judgments exceeding seven figures which involved shutting down the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit products.
For pro bono contributions, Joe has previously been recognized as one of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation's Top 50. In 2006, Joe was named as a "Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star" by Atlanta Magazine.
Joe and his wife Stephanie, a graduate of the University of Georgia, are the proud parents of two children. They live in the Dunwoody community wherein Joe is active, including coaching numerous youth sports teams.
