Daniel E. Turner

Dan Turner is a founding partner at Ashe, Rafuse & Hill, LLP and serves as the firm’s General Counsel. In 2008, Dan was selected by Chambers as a leading lawyer in Georgia in his field. He has been named one of Georgia's "Rising Stars." Dan has represented employers in all aspects of employment and civil rights litigation, including class actions under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Section 1981 and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Dan practices in many areas of employment law (such as Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA litigation, the FMLA, etc.). He has also worked extensively in other litigation practice areas, including state law tort and contract claims. He has jury and non-jury trial experience in both federal and state courts, representing companies and individuals in civil litigation matters.

Dan is regularly invited to speak at continuing legal education seminars and to management and human resources groups on employment related issues. He spoke at the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section 2006 Annual Meeting on defending class and collective actions. He was a guest speaker on defending against class and collective actions at the Tennessee Bar Association’s Eighth Annual Labor and Employment Section Forum. He subsequently spoke at a nationally broadcasted seminar on defending collective actions sponsored by the American Bar Association. He has also been a speaker at several continuing legal education seminars in Georgia on topics such as impeaching witnesses and trial objectives at the Georgia Evidence, Foundations and Objections seminar and the use of statistical evidence in employment discrimination cases at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s 32nd Annual Labor & Employment Law Institute.

Dan and his wife Kim have two daughters.

  • Currently defending major retailer against multiple purported class actions.
