Lauren Zeldin

Lauren H. Zeldin practices primarily in the areas of employment discrimination, civil rights, and wage and hour litigation, including the representation of clients in connection with race, sex, age, national origin, and disability discrimination claims in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies. Lauren also has experience representing employers in connection with collective actions filed pursuant to Section 216(b) of the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition to her litigation practice, Lauren regularly provides clients with day-to-day counseling and advice on a variety of employment issues. Lauren has a particular interest in employee selection and test validation issues and is a contributor to Chapter 5 (Application of Adverse Impact to Employment Decisions) of the 2007 Fourth Edition of Employment Discrimination Law by Barbara T. Lindemann and Paul Grossman.

Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Duke University in 1997 and her J.D., with High Honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2002. During law school, Lauren was a Director of the Community Legal Project at the Chapel Hill Women's Center and a member of the Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, Lauren completed an internship with East Central Community Legal Services in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lauren is admitted to practice in Georgia state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a volunteer attorney with the Truancy Intervention Project, which provides representation to children charged with truancy in juvenile court.

Lauren is a life-long Duke Blue Devils basketball fan and, in her spare time, enjoys watching ACC basketball, reading about American history, cooking, and spending time with her family. Lauren and her husband, Leon, are the parents of a busy toddler.
